A very large palace dating from the 16th century in need of renovation, but once this is done it will be double WOW.
The palace has over 600 m2 of living space with thirty rooms and is set in 3,000 m2 of gardens. The property has bovedas(typical from Extremadura region) and is divided into four good sized rooms around 20 m2 with high ceilings which make them flexible to convert for different uses as a bedroom plus bathroom, living room, dining room etc.
On the first floor there is space for seven or nine rooms (limitation is given for number of windows) with four or six bathrooms (according to bedrooms).
On the ground floor, hallway, two living rooms, dining room, kitchen (with wine cellar or service room), two or more bedrooms and a office.
The palace is one of the most important buildings in the town and is situated on two sides of the main square, the other two sides being taken up with the Town Hall and church.
Although the main building is structurally sound it does need major renovation and modernisation internally and has full permission for a new building in the garden and the possibility of up to 40% grant.
Situated in the centre of this historic Roman town close to the largest lakes in Western Europe and approximately one hour northwest of Caceres.
It would be perfect as a hotel or conversion into rental apartments and 40% grants may be available for developing this sort of project.
