Town: Aracena

Categories: Rural Tourism   Equestrian property   Hunting Estate   Large country estates

Price: EUROS 790,000

A large country property in quiet area between Sevilla and Portugal, near Aracena, ideal as or tourism rural or keeping other livestock.

It is a typical Andalusian “dehesa”, one million square meters of gently rolling hills, covered with cork and stone oaks leaving big enough areas for growing a great variety of produce.

There are two fincas with total 99 hectares with the possibility to separate. Finca A is 66 hectares and Finca B is 33 hectares. The finca is a mixture of cork oak and holm oak trees and land for agricultural use.

The cork oaks, apart from producing valuable animal feed, every 8 to 9 years yield about 25.000 kilos of cork (500 quintales) and the stone oaks produce the carbohydrate and protein rich acorns which are fed to the “pata negra” pigs, world famous for their excellent ham.

There are two farm houses, one completely renovated with three bedrooms, large lounge with open fireplace, bath and kitchen and the other renovated to a lesser degree, but liveable.

Besides the “cortijos” there are seven barns of various sizes serving as storing facilities for straw and other produce. Some of the barns used to be accommodation for the workers and could be turned into tourist quarters.

There is plenty of water on the estate either coming from several artesian wells dotted throughout the property or natural springs and there even is a small creek passing through the land. There also is mains electricity.

Apart from being a superb place to lead the genteel life of a gentleman farmer, the estate offers great potential as an agricultural business, but could also be converted into a hunting estate or a destination for rural tourism.

The finca lies in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche, not far from Seville and with excellent road connections to Portugal, the Extremadura and even the Atlantic.
