Finca el Penon is situated in a spectacular location in the middle of four mountain ranges. The finca is a highly productive olive farm producing some excellent quality olive oil.
There are two entrances from the village to the finca which is in an amazing location in the middle of four mountain ranges. To the front is the Sierra de Cazorla, behind is Sierra Nevada, to the east is Sierra Baza and west is Sierra Magina. The views are spectacular in all directions with amazing sunsets and at night the sky so clear.
The finca has 322 ha of which 110 hectares are highly productive olive trees. 20,00 mature trees and 10,000 young trees fruiting this year for the first time. The trees have automatic irrigation. The rest of land is used for planting cereals and grazing. There is mountain land where there are deer & wild boar along with partridges and other birds. Private hunting is allowed for which a license is needed.
The finca borders the river and has its own transformer for electricity which pumps water from the wells to the large reservoir. Ample water all year round.
The income this year was 225,000 euros which will go up year after year as the young olives mature and produce more fruit. There is 300-500 ha bordering the finca available to purchase from a neighbour.
On the land is a natural stone excavation area, the previous owner was a stone mason and used the stone for his work and sold some of it. The stone is highly prized and can be excavated and sold.
The finca includes tractors & all machinery. The owner hires an olive shaker and 2 men for 20 days to harvest the olives. There are numerous tracks around the land for reaching the various areas, a 4 wheel drive is a necessity.
There are animal pens, tractors sheds, an old cortijo in need of work, a project for a large house, a semi-detached house in the village along with a ruin in the village, all included in the price of the finca.
The finca could have log cabins, build more houses etc and is income producing whilst recreational. All papers are fully in order and there are documents and figures available for qualified investors with regards to the income of the farm.
The finca is situated 17 kms from the village of Almedilla, the nearest town is Guadahortuna. Guadix and the cave village of Purellena 30 minutes. Granada is one hour and Jaen are one hour. Granada airport 1 ¼ hrs. Almeria is 175 kms where there is another airport. Malaga airport less than 2 hrs. Cordoba and Huevla 2 hrs.
