The cortijo style hotel with a popular restaurant is situated close to the beaches of the Costa de la Luz and has excellent road access. Foreign tourists as well as the locals enjoy the hotel’s tranquillity and rave about the excellent quality of its restaurant.

The rustic decoration breathing the local love for bulls and horses and the friendly service of this family run place make its guests feel welcome immediately.

The property consists of four parts:

The restaurant was built in 1996 in the typical Andalusian architecture around a lovely patio the centre of which is dominated by a beautiful fountain. The patio is surrounded by the modern kitchen, the rustic bar, the great dining room and the more informal dining room for breakfast and country style lunches where the locals meet and where the typical specialities are offered to the adventurous tourist. The restaurant is very popular in the whole region for its excellent food.

The hotel, too, is typically Andalusian. At a short distance from the restaurant and hidden amongst the rich Mediterranean vegetation the 16 double guest rooms are grouped around yet another patio with palm trees and other plants and flowers.

Each room named after famous Spanish bull fighters is lovingly decorated and equipped with air conditioning, plasma TV and a fridge and has its own private terrace inviting the guests to relax while sampling a glass of a rich Spanish “tinto” in the shade of an aromatic orange tree. The rooms are well furnished; the bathrooms boast large showers and ceiling windows. All rooms are connected to the internet.

The central tower serves as an office and at the rear side of the building is a small bar/cafeteria for the exclusive use of the hotel guests. In the summer months the pool area offers fun and relaxation amidst palm trees and Mediterranean flowers.

Right next to the 17 m x 6 m pool a 60 m2 guest cottage with bedroom and bathroom, kitchen and lounge with open fire place. There is also the possibility and license to enlarge the hotel with more rooms.

The sports and agricultural area is away and hidden from the hotel and the restaurant. The over 1.000 m2 barn includes two apartments for staff housing, some stables and storage for straw, horse feed and machinery. The southern elevation of the barn has a covered terrace with views over what used to be the clay shooting area and the bull ring. The completely walled arena with over 30 meters across is now used as a lunging circle and for training horses

The owners of the complex have always lived on the premises. The quaint house of 110 m2 lies between the restaurant and the hotel and has direct access to the pool area. There are two well appointed bedrooms which share the large family bathroom with Jacuzzi bath tub. A fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable reception room with open fire place and a staircase leading up to a loft with a gallery overlooking the lounge.

Connected to the owner's house, and yet to be completed, is a new wing with three double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom and which can either be added to the owner’s house or be used as guest rooms for the hotel.

The restaurant, hotel, sports area and the owners house occupy approximately one third of the total land area of over 10 ha.The remaining 6 to 7 ha can either be planted with olive or other fruit trees (the owner planted already some 320 olive trees with drip irrigation a year ago) or can be be used to grow cereals, horse fodder etc.

The water for the irrigation comes from two wells on the property while the restaurant, the hotel and the other areas are connected to mains water and electricity. Just off the centre of the property the owners dug out a 90 x 40 meter lake which fills with water in the rainy season but could hold water all year round if it were lined with a special foil.

The cortijo-hotel offers infinite possibilities. It can be a business hotel for the stressed business man as well as a country hotel for the tourist looking for something different. There is also room to add some stables and a riding arena. Endless riding tracks will lead the rider right into the pristine Andalusian landscape passing bull and cattle farms and picturesque haciendas.

The golden beaches of the Costa de la Luz are just 20 minutes away and the motorway connecting Jerez de la Frontera, Seville and Cádiz on one side and Marbella and Málaga on the other passes near-by. The keen golfer can choose between half a dozen of golf courses within minutes.
